Build a contract-obligations handover table
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- From the signed contract, list each obligation, the party who owes it, the time for performance as the clause states it, and the clause reference. Flag an obligation whose time the tool cannot read.
- What the lawyer must review
- Check each row against the clause before the table is used as the handover. Formal Opinion 512 requires independent review of generated output you rely on. A row is not a statement of the governing law, and it is not a substitute for reading a condition, a cure period or a cross-reference the tool has flagged. Model Rule 1.6: do not put the signed contract into a public tool.
