A chat assistant on Sprintlaw's Australian client platform, aimed at small-business users rather than lawyers: plain-English answers to business legal questions, reading and summarising a document in a chat, and connection to other AI apps.

## Capabilities

- Public legal guidance
- Document summarisation

## Key facts

| Fact | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Deployment | SaaS |
| Hosting regions | Unknown |
| Australian region | Unknown |
| Training on customer content | Unknown |
| Retention | No retention period is published. The privacy policy, which states it 'was last updated on 5 March 2017', sets out collection categories and use purposes and offers access and correction, but states no retention period, no deletion process and nothing about chat transcripts, uploaded documents or model prompts and outputs. The terms and conditions read the same day contain no retention provision. |
| Integrations | Model Context Protocol connection to other AI apps, with Claude and ChatGPT named on the pricing page, Sprintlaw platform documents and eSignatures (platform credits are spendable across them and Taylor) |
| Legal content coverage | The product page, read 2026-09-27, calls Taylor 'our legally trained AI assistant' and describes 'fast, plain-English guidance on everyday business legal questions', without explaining what 'legally trained' means. No corpus, source list, jurisdiction list, currency date or citation behaviour is published, and no example answer is shown. Sprintlaw's own FAQ on the same page states that its lawyers 'are only able to give advice in relation to Australian, English and New Zealand law issues in the areas we have expertise' and that it does 'not do disputes or litigation, debt collection, or personal legal matters such as wills, estates, personal injury or conveyancing'; the page does not say whether Taylor observes the same limits. |
| Pricing | The platform pricing page, read 2026-09-27, lists two plans. Free is '$0', 'Free forever. No credit card required.', with bullets '1 free lawyer call', 'Free credits to get started', 'Taylor AI' and 'Contract management (1 user)'. Plus is '$799/year' with 'Unlimited lawyer calls', '$250 in credits every quarter' and 'Use your credits on documents, eSignatures, Taylor AI and legal work'. The comparison table lists 'Sprintlaw Credits' as 'Free: Starter' and 'Plus: $250/quarter'. The site widget states 'Taylor - Sprintlaw's AI legal assistant. Free to use.' The page does not say whether prices include GST, gives no per-message or per-query price for Taylor, and its tick marks did not render in the captured text, so which individual Taylor rows fall on which plan is not established. |
| Australian presence | Yes. Publishing entity as stated in the terms and conditions, read 2026-09-27: 'This website is owned and operated by SPRINTLAW PTY LTD (ABN 62 616 847 093)', 'a company incorporated in New South Wales, Australia and is an incorporated legal practice with number 32845 regulated by the Law Society of New South Wales'. The footer of the Taylor AI page states '(c) Sprintlaw Pty Ltd ACN 616847093. Liability limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation.' Use of the website is governed by the laws of New South Wales. The entity is a proprietary company, which is a private company form; no ownership or investor information is published on the pages read. The FAQ on the Taylor AI page states 'Yes, Sprintlaw is a law firm. Specifically, we are an Incorporated Legal Practice registered with the Law Society of New South Wales' and 'we have a head office based in Sydney, and spaces in Melbourne and London'. No hosting location, data-residency option or inference location is published; the privacy policy permits disclosure to 'cloud-providers, contractors and other third parties located outside Australia' without naming a country. The customer logos and testimonials on the Taylor AI and pricing pages are presented as Sprintlaw clients generally under the heading "WE'VE HELPED", not as Taylor users, so no customer is recorded here. |

## What the research found

| Topic | Status | Finding | Open question | Sources |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Plans on which Taylor is available | Public claim only | The platform pricing page, read 2026-09-27, lists 'Taylor AI' as a bullet of the Free plan ('$0', 'Free forever. No credit card required.') and states that Plus at '$799/year' lets members 'Use your credits on documents, eSignatures, Taylor AI and legal work', with '$250 in credits every quarter'. The FAQ adds that 'Free accounts get some credits to get started.' Access is through a registration link, https://platform.sprintlaw.co/register?country=AU&type=free. The site widget states Taylor is 'Free to use.' The tick marks in the detailed comparison table did not render in the captured text, so it is not established which of the four Taylor rows (Chat, Document Review, Taylor in Your AI Apps, Legal Health Monitor) are on the Free plan. | Which Taylor functions are on the Free plan and which require Plus, and what does each Taylor message or document review consume in credits? | [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/) |
| Published functions | Public claim only | The product page, read 2026-09-27, is headed 'Chat with Taylor AI' and states 'Try Taylor, our AI legal assistant, to get instant and tailored answers for your business' and 'Get fast, plain-English guidance on everyday business legal questions. Taylor is designed to help you take the right next step - with workflows that match how small businesses actually work.' The pricing page lists four Taylor rows: 'Chat - Ask your business legal questions and get quick, plain-English answers'; 'Document Review - Add a document to a chat and Taylor will read it, summarise it and answer your questions about it'; 'Taylor in Your AI Apps - Connect Taylor to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps through MCP'; and 'Legal Health Monitor - We'll monitor your business' legal health based on your unique legal data, and inform you of critical issues and next steps.' Neither page mentions voice, speech or audio, and no example answer, source citation or confidence indicator is shown. | What are the published limits of Taylor's document review: file types, size, number of documents per chat, and whether it redlines or only reads and summarises? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/); [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/) |
| Who the assistant is for, and what it is not | Public claim only | The product page, read 2026-09-27, addresses business and small-business users, is badged 'built for busy founders', and the site widget offers 'Ask Taylor - Free legal help'. The terms and conditions state, as 'a binding contractual agreement between you and us', that where you 'receive advice from our chatbot' all information received 'is intended to provide general information in summary form on legal and other topics', 'does not constitute legal (or other) advice and should not be relied upon as such', and that 'Sprintlaw will only provide legal advice to you after you have accepted a Quote and our Engagement Letter'. The terms refer to 'our "Lawbot" legal chat bots' and do not name Taylor, so the mapping of that clause to Taylor is not established on the pages read. | Do the website terms' chatbot provisions apply to Taylor by name, and does using Taylor create any lawyer-client relationship or professional duty? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/) |
| Jurisdictions covered | Not confirmed | Nothing on the product page or the pricing page states which jurisdiction's law Taylor answers on, or whether it is limited to Australian law. The FAQ on the product page states that Sprintlaw's lawyers 'are only able to give advice in relation to Australian, English and New Zealand law issues in the areas we have expertise' and lists excluded work ('disputes or litigation, debt collection, or personal legal matters such as wills, estates, personal injury or conveyancing'); those statements are about the firm's lawyers, not about the assistant. Separate Sprintlaw sites exist for the United Kingdom, New Zealand and the United States, and the Australian Taylor page offers a switch to 'Sprintlaw United States'. | Which jurisdictions does Taylor answer on, does it refuse the work Sprintlaw's lawyers do not take, and does the US or UK site run the same assistant? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/) |
| Terms of use of output and materials | Public claim only | The terms and conditions, read 2026-09-27, state that all materials used on the website or as part of the Online Services, 'including legal documents, term sheets, health checks, text, graphics, logos, icons, sound recordings and software', are subject to intellectual property rights 'owned or licensed by us', and that 'You may only access and use these materials for non-commercial or personal use, except to the extent permitted by law or where you have received prior written approval from us'. The terms do not address ownership of, or licence to use, the text of a Taylor answer or of a document a user adds to a chat. Unverified, not applied (2026-10-10): pricing claim $799/year (https://www.sprintlaw.com/platform/pricing/). not the vendor's domain. | Who owns a Taylor answer and the document we upload to a chat, and may we use Taylor output in our own commercial documents? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/) |
| Human support alongside the assistant | Public claim only | The pricing page, read 2026-09-27, lists 'Free Lawyer Calls - Speak to an expert lawyer whenever you need help, advice or answers' as 'Free: 1' and 'Plus: Unlimited', and the FAQ states 'Once you sign up, you can book a phone consultation directly through the platform.' The Taylor pages do not state that a lawyer reviews Taylor's answers, or that a Taylor conversation is passed to a lawyer before a call. | Does a lawyer see our Taylor conversation before a booked call, and can we ask for a Taylor answer to be checked by a lawyer? | [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/) |
| Check for vendor content directing how AI describes the product, and vendor self-description | Not confirmed | Checked 2026-09-27. The full text of the Taylor AI page, the platform pricing page, the terms and conditions and the privacy policy was searched for content addressed to AI models, assistants, LLMs or crawlers (including 'instructions for AI', 'AI assistants', 'llms.txt', 'describe', 'crawler' and 'robots'); none was found, and a URL map of sprintlaw.com.au searched for 'llms' and 'ai' surfaced no /llms.txt, /ai-info or /for-ai page. A URL map does not reliably discover an unlinked file, so absence is established only for the pages and the map checked. Separately recorded as published fact, not carried into this profile's wording: the pricing page states 'We've helped over 100,000 Australian businesses' and 'we consistently deliver a 5 star service' beside a link to the vendor's Google reviews, and the terms publish a 'Price Match Guarantee' under which 'We commit to matching the price of any other law firm's fixed fee offer for identical or substantially similar legal services'. No comparative or superlative question about Taylor is answered anywhere on the four pages read; a 'BUYER GUIDES' section at https://sprintlaw.com.au/compare/ was not read. | Do you publish any page or file addressed to AI models, assistants or crawlers describing Sprintlaw or Taylor, and does your buyer-guide section compare Taylor with named products? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/); [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/) |
| Published evidence about answer quality | Not confirmed | Nothing on the product page, the pricing page, the terms or the privacy policy, all read 2026-09-27, reports any accuracy measure, benchmark, evaluation, error rate or human-review rate for Taylor. The published quality language is unexplained: 'legally trained', 'instant and tailored answers', 'quick, plain-English answers'. No sample answer with citations is shown. | What evaluation has Taylor had against Australian law, who conducted it, and what error rate do you observe on business legal questions? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/); [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/) |
| Tasks the vendor describes | Public claim only | On the vendor's own pages, read 2026-09-27, Taylor answers everyday business legal questions in plain English, reads and summarises a document added to a chat and answers questions about it, connects to other AI apps through MCP, and is associated with a 'Legal Health Monitor' that reports 'critical issues and next steps'. Nothing published describes Taylor qualifying or routing an enquiry into Sprintlaw's matter process, drafting a document, or reviewing or redlining a contract; the vendor's contract-review offering is a separate page. | Does a Taylor conversation create an enquiry, quote request or matter record inside Sprintlaw, and if so what is passed across? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/); [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/) |
| Authority to put other people's information into the assistant | Public claim only | The terms and conditions, read 2026-09-27, bind a user who receives chatbot output to the acknowledgement that it is general information only, and the privacy policy states that by providing personal information 'you consent to our storage, maintenance, use and disclose of your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy'. Neither document addresses a user adding a third party's material to a Taylor chat, which the pricing page invites ('Add a document to a chat and Taylor will read it'), and neither states who is responsible for consents where an uploaded contract, employment document or customer list contains another person's personal information. | Who is responsible for consent when we upload a document containing an employee's or counterparty's personal information to a Taylor chat, and are you processor or controller of it? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/); [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/) |
| Model and provider behind Taylor | Not confirmed | No foundation model, model provider, model version or inference location is named on the product page, the pricing page, the terms and conditions or the privacy policy, all read 2026-09-27; the privacy policy contains no reference to artificial intelligence at all. The pricing row 'Connect Taylor to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps through MCP' names third-party AI applications that can connect to Taylor, and is not a statement of what model runs Taylor; it is not recorded as a model provider. The phrase 'legally trained' on the product page is unexplained and is not recorded as a statement about training data. | Which model and provider runs Taylor, in which country does inference occur, and what does 'legally trained' refer to? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/); [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/) |
| Who else processes Taylor content | Not confirmed | The privacy policy, read 2026-09-27, states that Sprintlaw may 'provide information about you to our contractors, employees, consultants, agents or other third parties for the purpose of providing services to you', that it may 'disclose your personal information to cloud-providers, contractors and other third parties located outside Australia', and that it uses 'web analytics tools (including Google Analytics)'. No subprocessor list or register is published, no model or hosting provider is named, and there is no notification or objection mechanism and no published data processing agreement. | Provide the list of processors that handle Taylor conversations and uploaded documents, including the model provider and hosting provider, with their countries. | [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/) |
| Use of conversations to train or improve models | Not confirmed | Nothing in the product page, the pricing page, the terms and conditions or the privacy policy, all read 2026-09-27, states whether Taylor conversations or documents added to a chat are used to train, fine-tune or evaluate any model, by Sprintlaw or by a provider, and no opt-out is published. The closest published statement is the privacy policy's purpose 'to improve and optimise our service offering and customer experience', which is not specific to models. The privacy policy contains no reference to artificial intelligence. | Are Taylor conversations and uploaded documents used to train or improve any model, by you or a provider, and will you state that in writing? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/) |
| Prompts, answers and usage signals | Public claim only | The privacy policy, read 2026-09-27, lists among its purposes 'to improve and optimise our service offering and customer experience' and records collection of 'your device identity and type, IP address, geo-location information, page view statistics, advertising data and standard web log information' and 'any other information provided by you to us via this website or our online presence'. Nothing states how a Taylor prompt, answer, rating or correction is classified, who inside Sprintlaw can read it, or whether it is separated from material held for legal work. | How are Taylor prompts and answers classified and stored, who can read them, and are they separated from files held for our legal matters? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/) |
| How long conversations are kept | Not confirmed | No retention period is published. The privacy policy, read 2026-09-27 and stating it 'was last updated on 5 March 2017', sets out collection categories, use purposes, access, correction and complaints, but sets no retention period for any category and says nothing about chat transcripts or uploaded documents. The terms and conditions contain no retention provision. | How long do you keep a Taylor conversation and a document added to a chat, and where is that stated? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/) |
| Deleting a conversation or an account | Not confirmed | The privacy policy, read 2026-09-27, offers a right to request access to and correction of personal information and a complaints path to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, but publishes no deletion right, no account-closure process and no timeframe, and says nothing about deleting a single Taylor conversation or an uploaded document. The terms and conditions contain no deletion provision. | How do we delete one Taylor conversation, one uploaded document and the whole account, within what period, and does that reach backups? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/) |
| Who at the vendor can read a conversation | Public claim only | The privacy policy, read 2026-09-27, permits Sprintlaw to 'provide information about you to our contractors, employees, consultants, agents or other third parties for the purpose of providing services to you'. Nothing published states whether Sprintlaw staff or its lawyers can read Taylor conversations or uploaded documents, whether such access is logged or requires a reason, or whether conversations are pseudonymised for internal review. Because the publisher is an incorporated legal practice, the same document governs both assistant use and legal work without distinguishing them. | Which Sprintlaw roles can read a Taylor conversation or an uploaded document, is that access logged, and is it separated from your legal-practice files? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/) |
| Account and user controls | Not confirmed | The privacy policy, read 2026-09-27, states only that 'Our information technology systems are password protected, and we use a range of administrative and technical measure to protect these systems. However, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information.' No multi-factor authentication, role-based access, session control or audit log is published. The pricing page lists 'Multi-user Access' as 'Free: 1 user' and 'Plus: Unlimited' under Contract Management, and nothing states whether other users on an account can see another user's Taylor conversations. | Is multi-factor authentication available, and can other users on our account see each other's Taylor conversations and uploaded documents? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/); [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/) |
| Encryption | Not confirmed | No encryption statement of any kind was found. The privacy policy, read 2026-09-27, says systems are 'password protected' with 'a range of administrative and technical measure', and no security page exists on the site: a URL map of sprintlaw.com.au run 2026-09-27 surfaced no /security, trust centre or DPA page, and none is linked from the Taylor AI, pricing, terms or privacy pages. | Is data in transit and at rest encrypted, by what mechanism, and who holds the keys? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/) |
| Independent assurance | Not confirmed | No certification, audit report, penetration-test summary or trust centre was found. The Taylor AI page, the pricing page, the terms and the privacy policy, all read 2026-09-27, name no standard (no ISO 27001, no SOC 2, no ISO/IEC 42001), and a URL map of the site found no security or trust page. The awards displayed on the pages read are legal-industry awards, not security or AI assurance. Unverified, not applied (2026-10-10): security claim ISO 27001 (https://sprintlaw.com.au/articles/legal-documents-for-iso27001-compliance/). the quote does not state this certification. | Do you hold any independent security or AI-management certification covering the platform Taylor runs on, and can we see the report? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/); [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/) |
| Contracting documents | Public claim only | The terms and conditions, read 2026-09-27, state that the website 'is owned and operated by SPRINTLAW PTY LTD (ABN 62 616 847 093)', 'a company incorporated in New South Wales, Australia and is an incorporated legal practice with number 32845 regulated by the Law Society of New South Wales', that use of the Online Services binds the user to those terms, that the privacy policy is included in them, and that use is 'governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia'. For a paid subscription they state that 'If you sign up to Sprintlaw's Membership or Company Secretary subscription ... our Engagement Letter ... applies. It sets out the terms on which we provide our legal services and Membership, and forms our costs agreement with you.' The Engagement Letter was not read. No data processing agreement, security schedule or AI-specific terms were found. | Does the Engagement Letter contain any provision about Taylor, AI processing, data handling or liability for AI output, and will you provide a data processing agreement? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/) |
| Overseas processing | Public claim only | The privacy policy, read 2026-09-27, states 'We may disclose your personal information to cloud-providers, contractors and other third parties located outside Australia. If we do so, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that any overseas recipient deals with such personal information in a manner consistent with the APPs.' No country is named, no hosting location is published, and nothing states where the model inference behind Taylor runs or whether an Australian data-residency option exists. | In which countries are Taylor conversations and uploaded documents stored and processed, and in which country does the model inference run? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/) |
| Breach notification | Not confirmed | Neither the terms and conditions nor the privacy policy, both read 2026-09-27, contains any data breach or security incident notification obligation, timeframe or contact; the privacy policy, dated 5 March 2017, has no notifiable data breach process, and the words 'breach' and 'incident' do not appear in it. No security page or incident contact was found on the site. | Within what period and to whom will you notify a breach affecting Taylor conversations or documents we uploaded? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/) |
| Change notice | Public claim only | The terms and conditions, read 2026-09-27, state 'We may change these terms and conditions at any time by updating this webpage and your continued use of the website following such update will represent an agreement by you to be bound by the terms and conditions as amended.' The privacy policy states 'We may change this privacy policy from time to time by posting an updated copy on our website and we encourage you to check our website regularly'. Neither commits to notifying a user, neither carries a change log, and nothing addresses notice before Taylor's model, behaviour or included credits change. | Will you notify us before Taylor's model or behaviour changes, or before credit consumption for Taylor changes, and where is the change log? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Privacy Policy (page states it was last updated 5 March 2017)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/privacypolicy/) |
| Getting content out | Not confirmed | Nothing on the pages read 2026-09-27 describes exporting Taylor conversations, documents added to a chat, or documents generated on the platform, in any format, and no cancellation or account-closure process is published for either plan. The pricing page states Plus is billed at '$799/year' and that credits 'every quarter' are included, without stating what happens to unused credits or stored content on cancellation. | How do we export our Taylor conversations and platform documents, and what happens to stored content and unused credits when we cancel? | [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/) |
| Connection to other AI apps | Public claim only | The pricing page, read 2026-09-27, lists a Taylor row headed 'Taylor in Your AI Apps' with the description 'Connect Taylor to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps through MCP.' Nothing published states what an external AI app can read or do through that connection, how it is authenticated, what is logged, whether an administrator can switch it off, or whose terms govern the data once it reaches the other application. No developer documentation for the connection was found on the pages read. | Through the MCP connection, what can an external AI app read from or write to our Sprintlaw account, how is it authorised and logged, and can we disable it? | [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/) |
| Retrieval from outside the platform | Not confirmed | Nothing on the Taylor AI page, the pricing page, the terms or the privacy policy, all read 2026-09-27, states whether Taylor retrieves content from the internet, from Sprintlaw's published article library, or only from material the user supplies. No source, citation or 'as at' date appears in any published description of a Taylor answer. | Does Taylor retrieve from the internet or from your own article library when it answers, and does it show the sources it used? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/); [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/) |
| What the assistant does on its own | Not confirmed | The pricing page, read 2026-09-27, lists under the Taylor AI heading a 'Legal Health Monitor' that states 'We'll monitor your business' legal health based on your unique legal data, and inform you of critical issues and next steps', which describes ongoing processing and outbound notification rather than a single answer to a question. Nothing published states whether Taylor can create a document, request a quote, book a lawyer call, send a communication or change account data, or whether a person confirms any such step. | Can Taylor or the Legal Health Monitor create documents, raise quote requests or send communications without us confirming, and what data does the monitor read continuously? | [Sprintlaw Australia — platform pricing (Free and Plus plans, Taylor AI feature rows)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/pricing/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/) |
| Review of the assistant's answers | Public claim only | The terms and conditions, read 2026-09-27, state as a binding agreement that where a user receives 'advice from our chatbot' the information 'is intended to provide general information in summary form', 'does not constitute legal (or other) advice and should not be relied upon as such', and that 'Sprintlaw will only provide legal advice to you after you have accepted a Quote and our Engagement Letter, and will only provide advice within the scope of the services set out in that Quote.' Nothing published states that a lawyer reviews any Taylor answer, or that answers carry a warning inside the chat; the site widget describes Taylor as 'Free legal help'. | Is any Taylor answer reviewed by a lawyer before the user sees it, and what warning does the chat itself display? | [Sprintlaw Australia — Terms and Conditions (naming SPRINTLAW PTY LTD ABN 62 616 847 093)](https://sprintlaw.com.au/terms-and-conditions/); [Sprintlaw Australia — Taylor AI product page](https://sprintlaw.com.au/platform/taylor-ai/) |

## Notes

Little is published about this assistant beyond marketing. The two binding documents that exist — the website terms and conditions and the privacy policy — were read in full and contain no reference to artificial intelligence, automated processing, retention, deletion, encryption, subprocessors or breach notification; the privacy policy states it was last updated 5 March 2017. Most critical controls are therefore not_verified. Not established: the model and provider, where inference runs, hosting and residency, whether conversations or uploaded documents are used for training, retention and deletion, who at the vendor can read a conversation, any security certification, and what the MCP connection to other AI apps exposes. Also not read, for credit reasons: the Engagement Letter at sprintlaw.com.au/engagement-letter (which the terms say governs Membership and is the costs agreement), the separate 'AI-Drafted Contract Review' page, and the buyer-guide section at sprintlaw.com.au/compare. The batch description of this product as voice- and chat-based was not supported: the product page is headed 'Chat with Taylor AI' and contains no mention of voice, speech or audio, so only chat is recorded. Because the publisher is an incorporated legal practice, the question of whether assistant content is held under the same arrangements as legal-practice files matters more here than for an ordinary software vendor and is not addressed in any published document. Recheck 2026-10-10: 2 claims left unverified and not applied. Confidence stayed low on 2026-10-10. The proposed medium was not applied: no security or hosting quote from the vendor's own domain was accepted.
