## Key facts

| Fact | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Deployment | SaaS |
| Hosting regions | Unknown |
| Australian region | Unknown |
| Assurance | ISO 27001: the vendor's own page states "dustry. The cloud service provider we use complies with the strictest security controls, including ISO 27001, 27017 and 27018. We apply promptly all security patches and updates from our" (https://www.contractprobe.com/security, checked 2026-10-10). |
| Training on customer content | Unknown |
| Retention | The security page read on 2026-09-27 states: 'The best way to protect your information is for us to hold it for as short a time as possible. We accordingly delete the copy of the contract you upload promptly after you get the results of our analysis.' The home page states 'No contracts or personal information collected'. Clause 4 of the Terms and Conditions states: 'We may use the information and documents that you upload to the ContractProbe site to improve our services and technology. We will not use them for marketing purposes.' No retention period in days is published, and the published privacy policy PDF was not read within the credit budget for this profile. |
| Pricing | The home page read on 2026-09-27 states 'Monthly subscription plans for organisations of all sizes' without figures. Clause 3 of the Terms and Conditions provides that 'You can only use ContractProbe service if you pay the price that has been agreed between you and us in your subscription agreement', so the price sits in a separate subscription agreement that was not available to read. The unit of charge, whether per user, per contract or per month, is not published. A pricing page exists at https://www.contractprobe.com/pricing and was not read within the credit budget for this profile. |
| Australian presence | Yes. The Terms and Conditions state that the website 'is owned and operated by ContractProbe Pty Ltd' and that 'us', 'we' and 'our' means 'ContractProbe Pty Ltd and our related bodies corporate'. The site footer carries '(c)2025 ContractProbe Pty Ltd' and the published address Level 4, 90 William Street, Melbourne Victoria 3000. No ACN or ABN appears on any page read. Clause 8 of the Terms provides that they are governed by the law of the State of Victoria, Australia, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts exercising jurisdiction in Victoria. The cloud service provider is referred to but not named, and no hosting region is published, so Australian data residency is not established and neither is whether inference runs in Australia. |

## What the research found

| Topic | Status | Finding | Open question | Sources |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Product and plan covered | Public claim only | ContractProbe is published as a single self-serve service rather than a platform with modules. The home page read 2026-09-27 names three functions: 'Prepares responses to Tenders', 'Prepares Contract Redlines' and 'Tailored to suit your own contracting playbook', restated as 'Our contract review AI tool can be tailored to suit your own contracting rules/playbook'. Signup and login flows exist on the site and the service is sold on monthly subscription plans. The page presented on the site as the product explainer, /contractprobe-overview, is a video embed and carries no product text. | What does playbook tailoring involve, who performs it, is it inside the monthly subscription, and are the tender-response and redline functions available on every plan? | [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com); [ContractProbe overview page (video embed, no product text)](https://www.contractprobe.com/contractprobe-overview) |
| Deployment and hosting | Not confirmed | ContractProbe is a hosted web service: a document is uploaded through the site and results are returned to the user. The security page read 2026-09-27 refers to 'The cloud service provider we use' without naming it, states that its certifications include ISO 27001, 27017 and 27018, and says security patches from operating system providers are applied promptly. No hosting country or region, and no on-premises, private-cloud or self-hosted option, is published on any page read. | Name your cloud service provider and the region in which uploaded contracts are processed and stored, and confirm whether an Australian-region configuration is available. | [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security); [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com) |
| What the product does | Public claim only | The home page read 2026-09-27 is headed 'AI contract review in less than 60 seconds' and states 'Get your contract checked by our contract review software in 60 seconds' and 'Provides you with a redlined contract in seconds'. The three published functions are tender responses, contract redlines, and tailoring to the customer's own contracting rules or playbook. No description of the models, technique or whether a language model is used appears on any page read, so 'AI' here records the vendor's own label for the function rather than a verified mechanism. Whether the output is a Word mark-up, a schedule of departures, or both, is not established: the vendor page read says only 'a redlined contract'. | In what file format is the output delivered, does it include a schedule of departures as well as a mark-up, and what technique performs the review? | [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com) |
| Jurisdiction and legal content | Public claim only | The Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, with exclusive jurisdiction in Victorian courts, and refer throughout to the Australian Consumer Law. Clause 6 states in capitals that 'WE DO NOT PROVIDE LEGAL ADVICE AND THE USE OF THE CONTRACTPROBE SERVICES DOES NOT GIVE RISE TO A LAWYER-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP' and that the service 'PROVIDES INFORMATION ABOUT DRAFT CONTRACTS AND DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY FORM OF LEGAL ADVICE'. No claim is made that the review applies named Australian legislation or case law; the published basis for review is the customer's own playbook or contracting rules. | Against what standard does the review run when no customer playbook is loaded, and does it apply any Australian statutory positions? | [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf); [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com) |
| Licence and permitted use | Public claim only | Clause 2 of the Terms grants 'a personal non-exclusive licence to access the website for your own personal use and to view the Content in the course of that access', with reproduction or redistribution prohibited. Clause 3 states that 'This website and the ContractProbe service are for your own use only' and prohibits transferring, sublicensing or commercially exploiting any content, software, product or service obtained using the services, and that use is conditional on paying the price agreed in the subscription agreement. A law firm using the service on client matters should test that wording, since 'for your own use only' and the prohibition on transferring outputs are not obviously fitted to onward delivery of a marked-up contract to a client or a counterparty. | Does the licence permit a law firm to use the service on client matters and to give the marked-up output to a client or a counterparty, and will you confirm that in the subscription agreement? | [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Support | Not confirmed | No support hours, response targets, uptime commitment or service-level agreement is published on any ContractProbe page read on 2026-09-27. The home page carries a 'Get In Touch' enquiry form for demonstrations and feature requests. Clause 6 of the Terms states that ContractProbe 'reserve the right to restrict, suspend or terminate without notice your access to this website, any Content, or any feature of this website at any time without notice' and disclaims responsibility for resulting loss, and clause 6 also disclaims any warranty that access will be uninterrupted or error-free. | What support hours, response targets and availability commitment apply under the subscription agreement, and is any service credit available? | [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com); [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Published quality evidence | Public claim only | The home page read 2026-09-27 publishes three testimonials attributed by role only, one of which states that 'The tool is very useful as a first pass screening tool and picks up the majority of the issues identified by [internal] Legal'. That is a customer statement, not a measurement. The published performance claim is a time claim, 'AI contract review in less than 60 seconds'. No accuracy figure, recall rate, error rate, evaluation method or independent benchmark is published on any page read, and clause 6 of the Terms disclaims any warranty that the service will be complete, accurate or up to date. | Provide a measured recall and false-negative rate for the issues ContractProbe identifies on contracts of the kinds we handle, with the sample and method used. | [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com); [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Task fit and verification effort | Public claim only | Clause 6 of the Terms states that ContractProbe makes no warranties that the service will be complete, accurate or up to date, that it does not provide legal advice, and that 'WE RECOMMEND YOU ALWAYS CONSULT A QUALIFIED LAWYER BEFORE SIGNING A CONTRACT'. Clause 7 states that ContractProbe is 'not aware of your personal circumstances and are not responsible for the consequences of you relying on any information displayed on our website or produced using the ContractProbe service'. The published positioning is first-pass screening producing a redline for a person to work from. No published figure states the checking time required. | On a sample of our own contracts, how much of the returned mark-up is accepted unchanged by a reviewer, and how long does the check take? | [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf); [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com) |
| Check for vendor content directing how AI describes the product | Not confirmed | A deliberate check for content telling AI models, assistants or crawlers how to describe the product found nothing on the checks made, as at 2026-09-27. What was checked: a site map of contractprobe.com run with search terms including 'llms' returned 18 URLs with no /llms.txt, /ai-info, /ai or /for-ai path; and the four pages read in full for this profile (home, /contractprobe-overview, security, and the Terms and Conditions PDF) carry no 'Instructions for AI Assistants' heading or comparable block addressed to AI models or assistants. Two things are deliberately not treated as the same thing: the vendor's own articles about AI contract review, for example 'Your AI just misread a liability cap - here's why' and 'Choosing an AI contract review tool in Australia: data sovereignty issues', are buyer-facing commentary addressed to readers, not direction to AI; and no crawler allow or disallow directives were examined, those being access control rather than narrative control. Limitation: /llms.txt was not fetched, because no site map returned it and the credit budget for this profile was exhausted, so this is 'nothing found on the checks made' and not confirmed absence. | Does ContractProbe publish an llms.txt file, an AI-information page, or any content advising AI models or assistants how to describe the product, and if so at which URLs? | [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com); [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security); [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf); [ContractProbe overview page (video embed, no product text)](https://www.contractprobe.com/contractprobe-overview) |
| Client authority and professional responsibility | Public claim only | Clause 5 of the Terms prohibits 'Any act that would constitute a breach of either the privacy (including uploading private or personal information without an individual's consent) or any other of the legal rights of individuals', which places the consent obligation on the uploading user. Clause 6 states that ContractProbe does not provide legal advice and that use does not give rise to a lawyer-client relationship, and recommends consulting a qualified lawyer before signing a contract. Nothing on the pages read addresses client notice or consent for uploading a client's contract to a third-party service, and no data processing agreement is published. | What client notice or consent do you expect a law firm to obtain before uploading a client's draft contract, and will you enter into a data processing agreement covering that material? | [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Foundation-model and AI service providers | Not confirmed | No model, model provider, model version or AI service is named anywhere on the ContractProbe pages read on 2026-09-27. The home page calls the product 'our contract review AI tool' and the security page names no AI provider at all, referring only to an unnamed cloud service provider and an unnamed payment service provider. Third-party characterisations of the product as machine learning or natural language processing exist in directory and submission material; those are third parties describing the vendor and are not recorded here as vendor facts. | Which models and providers perform the review, in which country do those calls run, and will you notify subscribers before a model or provider changes? | [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com); [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security) |
| Subprocessors | Not confirmed | ContractProbe publishes no subprocessor list, no data processing agreement and no subprocessor notice or objection mechanism. A site map of contractprobe.com returning 18 URLs on 2026-09-27 contained no /dpa, /subprocessors, /legal or equivalent path; the only legal documents published are a Terms and Conditions PDF and a Privacy Policy PDF linked from the footer. The security page refers to 'The cloud service provider we use' and 'The payment service provider we use' without naming either. That absence is itself the finding for a firm sending client contract text to the service. | Provide a written list of every third party that receives or processes uploaded contract text, including your cloud provider, any AI provider and your payment provider, with each one's country. | [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security); [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Training on customer content | Not confirmed | Three vendor statements sit at different widths and should be read together. Clause 4 of the Terms and Conditions, headed 'Our rights', states: 'We may use the information and documents that you upload to the ContractProbe site to improve our services and technology. We will not use them for marketing purposes.' The home page states as a feature caption 'Private - No contracts or personal information collected'. The security page states 'we delete the copy of the contract you upload promptly after you get the results of our analysis'. The contractual clause permits use of uploaded documents for improvement of services and technology and does not use the word train, while the two marketing statements describe non-collection and prompt deletion. The documents are not reconciled anywhere on the site, and the enum value for training is recorded as unknown because no document read says whether improvement includes model training. | Does clause 4 permit you to retain and use our uploaded contracts to train or tune a model, and will you replace it in our subscription agreement with an express prohibition on any use beyond returning our result? | [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf); [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com); [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security) |
| Use of uploads and feedback for improvement | Public claim only | Clause 4 of the Terms is the only published statement on this point: 'We may use the information and documents that you upload to the ContractProbe site to improve our services and technology. We will not use them for marketing purposes.' No opt-out is published, no limitation to aggregated or de-identified material appears, and no in-product rating or feedback control is described on the pages read. The home page 'Get In Touch' form invites feature suggestions; no terms govern what happens to material submitted through it. | Can our subscription exclude clause 4 entirely, and if not, what specifically is retained under it and for how long? | [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf); [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com) |
| Retention of uploaded contracts and outputs | Not confirmed | The security page read 2026-09-27 states that 'The best way to protect your information is for us to hold it for as short a time as possible. We accordingly delete the copy of the contract you upload promptly after you get the results of our analysis.' The home page states 'No contracts or personal information collected'. Clause 4 of the Terms permits use of uploaded information and documents to improve services and technology, which is a right that is not time-limited on its face. No retention period in days is published for uploads, outputs, logs or account records, and the published Privacy Policy PDF, which would be the place a retention statement appears, was not read within the credit budget for this profile. | State in days how long an uploaded contract, its output and any derived record are retained, and reconcile that with clause 4 of your Terms. | [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security); [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com); [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Deletion and certified erasure | Public claim only | The only published deletion statement is on the security page: the copy of the uploaded contract is deleted 'promptly after you get the results of our analysis'. 'Promptly' is not defined, and nothing states whether deletion extends to backups, logs, intermediate copies or any copy held by the unnamed cloud provider. No certificate of deletion, no deletion-on-request process and no deletion commitment on account closure is published. Clause 4 of the Terms sits against this by permitting continued use of uploaded documents for service and technology improvement. | Will you confirm in writing what 'promptly' means in hours, whether deletion covers backups and logs, and whether you will certify deletion on request? | [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security); [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Vendor personnel access to uploaded contracts | Not confirmed | Nothing on the ContractProbe pages read on 2026-09-27 states who inside the company can read an uploaded contract, under what approval, or whether any access is logged. The security page addresses transport encryption, the cloud provider's certifications, the payment provider's PCI status and patching, and says nothing about personnel controls, confidentiality obligations, background checks or support access. The Terms contain no confidentiality undertaking in favour of the user. | Who in your organisation can read an uploaded contract, is that access logged and reviewed, and are your personnel under written confidentiality obligations? | [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security); [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Access control and audit logs | Not confirmed | The site publishes signup, login and profile pages, so the service is account-based, but no page read on 2026-09-27 describes password policy, multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, role-based access, session controls, user provisioning or an audit log available to the subscriber. The security page describes transport encryption and patching only. | Does ContractProbe support multi-factor authentication, single sign-on and multiple users under one organisation account, and can an administrator see who uploaded which contract and when? | [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security); [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com) |
| Encryption in transit and at rest | Public claim only | The security page read 2026-09-27 states that 'our website is independently rated as A+ by SSL Labs' and that 'When you upload your documents, they are encrypted in transit using a 2048-bit, highest assurance SSL Certificate'. That addresses transport only; no statement about encryption at rest, key management, algorithm or customer-managed keys appears on any page read. The home page carries the unquantified caption 'Secure - Highest level of Encryption for security', which names no algorithm or standard, and the more specific security-page statement is limited to the in-transit path. | Is uploaded contract text encrypted at rest, with what algorithm and key management, and does the encryption statement cover any copy held by your cloud provider or any AI service? | [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security); [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com) |
| Independent security assurance | Public claim only | ContractProbe claims no certification, attestation or audit report of its own. The certifications on its security page belong to third parties: 'The cloud service provider we use complies with the strictest security controls, including ISO 27001, 27017 and 27018' concerns an unnamed cloud provider, and the PCI Service Provider Level 1 certification concerns an unnamed payment service provider. The SSL Labs A+ rating is a public assessment of the website's transport configuration, not a security-management certification. No SOC 2, ISO 27001 held by ContractProbe, IRAP assessment or penetration-test report is published or offered on the pages read. ISO 27001: the vendor's own page states "dustry. The cloud service provider we use complies with the strictest security controls, including ISO 27001, 27017 and 27018. We apply promptly all security patches and updates from our" (https://www.contractprobe.com/security, checked 2026-10-10). | Does ContractProbe Pty Ltd itself hold any independent certification or attestation, and will you provide a completed security questionnaire and any penetration-test report? | [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security) |
| Contracting entity, terms and liability | Public claim only | The general Terms and Conditions PDF, dated 7 January 2021 and linked from the site footer, state that the website 'is owned and operated by ContractProbe Pty Ltd' and that 'us', 'we' and 'our' means ContractProbe Pty Ltd and its related bodies corporate. Governing law is Victoria, Australia with exclusive jurisdiction in Victorian courts. Clause 7 limits maximum liability, including for negligence, for direct losses 'TO THE AMOUNT WHICH YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICES WHICH GAVE RISE TO THE RELEVANT LOSS OR DAMAGE' and excludes indirect, consequential and punitive loss; Australian Consumer Law rights are preserved. Price sits in a separate subscription agreement that was not available to read. No ACN or ABN is published, no data processing agreement exists, and the Terms reference the privacy policy at a URL (https://www.contractprobe.com/PrivacyPolicy.pdf) that differs from the footer link. | Provide the ACN for ContractProbe Pty Ltd, the current subscription agreement, and confirm whether the liability cap and clause 4 are negotiable for a law firm subscriber. | [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf); [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com) |
| Cross-border transfers and Australian residency | Not confirmed | No hosting country, processing country or cross-border disclosure statement appears on any ContractProbe page read on 2026-09-27. The entity, address and governing law are Australian, but the security page names neither the cloud provider nor its region, so nothing establishes that uploaded contracts stay in Australia, and nothing establishes where any AI processing occurs. The published Privacy Policy PDF, which would ordinarily carry an overseas-disclosure statement under Australian Privacy Principle 8, was not read within the credit budget for this profile. An Australian entity and address do not establish Australian hosting. | In which countries is an uploaded contract stored and processed, including any AI processing, and can you offer Australia-only processing? | [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security); [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Incident notification | Not confirmed | No incident response process, notification commitment, notification period or reference to Australia's Notifiable Data Breaches scheme appears on any ContractProbe page read on 2026-09-27. The Terms contain no security-incident clause; clause 6 instead disclaims any warranty 'that this website will be totally secure'. The published Privacy Policy PDF was not read within the credit budget for this profile, so a notification statement may exist there. | What is your contractual commitment to notify a subscriber of a data breach affecting uploaded contracts, in what period from becoming aware, and has any such incident occurred? | [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf); [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security) |
| Notice of change to terms, models and the service | Public claim only | Clause 1 of the Terms states: 'We may, from time to time and without notice, change or add to the website (including the Terms) or the information, products or services described in it. However, we do not undertake to keep the website updated.' Clause 6 adds a right to restrict, suspend or terminate access to the website, any content or any feature 'at any time without notice'. There is accordingly no published notice period for a change to the Terms, to the service, or to whatever performs the review. The Terms read on 2026-09-27 are dated 7 January 2021 and no later version was found on the site. | Will you agree to notify subscribers in writing before the Terms, the review method or the underlying model changes, and confirm whether the 2021 Terms are the current version? | [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Export and exit | Not confirmed | No export process, data portability statement or exit provision is published on any ContractProbe page read on 2026-09-27. The published design returns a redlined contract to the user for each upload, and the security page states that the uploaded copy is deleted promptly after results are provided, so there may be little stored to export; but no page states what account records, playbook configuration or history is held, or how a subscriber retrieves or removes it on cancellation. The Terms contain no termination or exit clause beyond ContractProbe's own right to suspend or terminate access. | On cancellation, what data do you still hold, how do we retrieve our playbook configuration and usage history, and how do we have the account deleted? | [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security); [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Connectors and integrations | Not confirmed | No integration, add-in, API or connector is published on any ContractProbe page read on 2026-09-27. The published workflow is an upload through the website and a returned result; no Microsoft Word add-in, document management system connector or API documentation appears on the site or in a site map of 18 URLs. Whether the returned mark-up is a Word file that can be opened directly in a drafting workflow is not established. | Is there an API or a Microsoft Word add-in, and in what format is the mark-up returned so that it can be used in our drafting workflow? | [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com); [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security) |
| Open-web retrieval | Not confirmed | Nothing on the ContractProbe pages read on 2026-09-27 states whether the review retrieves anything from the public internet. The published basis for the review is the customer's own contracting rules or playbook, or the service's own analysis, and no statement addresses external retrieval either way. No setting to enable or disable it is documented. | Does the review retrieve any content from the public internet, and if so from where and can that be disabled? | [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com); [ContractProbe — Security](https://www.contractprobe.com/security) |
| Agent actions and confirmation | Not confirmed | No agent, workflow automation or action-taking capability is published on any ContractProbe page read on 2026-09-27. The published behaviour is a single request and response: a document is uploaded, analysed and returned. Nothing states whether any step can be triggered without a user, and the Terms contain no provision addressing automated actions taken on a user's behalf. | Does any part of the service take an action without a user initiating it, such as sending a result to a third party, and will you confirm in writing that it does not? | [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com); [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf) |
| Human review before use | Public claim only | Clause 6 of the Terms states in capitals that ContractProbe does not provide legal advice, that use does not create a lawyer-client relationship, that the service 'PROVIDES INFORMATION ABOUT DRAFT CONTRACTS', and that 'WE RECOMMEND YOU ALWAYS CONSULT A QUALIFIED LAWYER BEFORE SIGNING A CONTRACT'. Clause 7 states that ContractProbe is not responsible for the consequences of a user relying on information produced using the service. One published testimonial describes the product as a 'first pass screening tool'. These allocate responsibility for review to the user; no product control that records or requires a reviewer sign-off is described on the pages read. | Does the product record who reviewed a returned mark-up and what they changed, so that a firm can evidence human review of each output? | [General ContractProbe Terms and Conditions, dated 7 January 2021 (PDF)](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/5fabb1ec05185d45a162332f/5ff69b6d6fb00b571374032b_General%20ContractProbe%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf); [ContractProbe — home page](https://www.contractprobe.com) |

## Notes

Little is published and most critical controls are not verified. The binding document read is the general Terms and Conditions PDF dated 7 January 2021; the security page is the only other substantive source. Established from vendor material: the entity ContractProbe Pty Ltd, a Melbourne address, Victorian governing law and exclusive jurisdiction, a liability cap at the amount paid for the service giving rise to the loss, prompt deletion of the uploaded copy after results, 2048-bit transport encryption, and clause 4's right to use uploaded information and documents to improve services and technology. Not established: ACN or ABN, hosting country, whether any processing or inference occurs in Australia, model or model provider, subprocessors, encryption at rest, access control, incident notification, export and exit, and any certification held by ContractProbe itself (the ISO 27001, 27017 and 27018 certifications on the security page belong to an unnamed cloud provider and the PCI Level 1 certification to an unnamed payment provider). No data processing agreement or subprocessor list is published anywhere on the site, and that absence is recorded as a finding rather than padded over. The training enum is recorded as unknown, not no and not yes: clause 4 permits use of uploads to improve services and technology but does not say whether that includes model training, while the home page states that no contracts are collected and the security page states prompt deletion. That is recorded as conflicting evidence. Not read within the 5-operation credit budget: the published Privacy Policy PDF, the pricing page, the About page and the two vendor articles on AI contract review and data sovereignty. Confidence raised from low to medium on 2026-10-10 because a security or hosting quote on the vendor's own domain was applied.
