## How AI may be used

AI-specific: AI extracts and organises deed provisions with exact quotations under strict rules. The lawyer verifies every quotation and the document chain and makes all legal judgments.

**AI may:**

- Extract and quote amendment, nomination and death benefit clauses with clause and page references
- Build the document chain table from the deeds provided
- List conflicts, apparent execution defects and missing pages for the lawyer

**AI must not:**

- Must not state whether a nomination or variation is valid or who should receive the benefit
- Must not fill gaps from general knowledge or typical deed wording
- Must not be used with a tool that trains on inputs or stores client documents outside approved locations

**The lawyer checks:**

- Every quotation against the source page
- The validity of each variation in the document chain
- Every item marked NOT FOUND, by manual search
- Dependant status and the application of s 59(1A), reg 6.17A or the deed
