## When to use it

Use when a sport, athlete, coach or other participant wants the National Sports Tribunal to arbitrate, mediate, conciliate or appraise a sport-related dispute. Confirm first that the sport's rules or the parties' agreement allow the NST to hear it. Use the official form only.

## How AI may be used

AI may draft the brief description of the dispute and index the attachments, but jurisdiction (the sport's rules and the parties' consent) must be confirmed by the lawyer, and the declaration is the applicant's.

**AI may:**

- Draft the brief description of the dispute from the chronology and the sport's policies.
- Index the documents to attach and check each listed item is present.
- Diary the sport's appeal and NST time limits the lawyer has identified.

**AI must not:**

- Must not decide whether the NST has jurisdiction or which division applies.
- Must not complete or sign the declaration.
- Must not be given anti-doping test results or medical information in a tool not approved for health information.

**The lawyer checks:**

- The sport's rules (or a written agreement) allow the NST to deal with the dispute.
- The correct division and process are selected; anti-doping and appeals are arbitration only.
- A party under 18 or with a legal incapacity is represented.
- Fee paid or waiver sought, and urgency flagged by phone if needed.
