## When to use it

Use when a complaint or investigation matter in Queensland is about a lawyer, a law practice employee, or a person said to be operating unlawfully, and the file needs the Commission's published categories.

## Used for these tasks

- [Map the allegations against the governing conduct standard](https://ailawframework.com/practice/professional-discipline-and-occupational-regulation/map-the-allegations-against-the-governing-conduct-standard.md)

## How AI may be used

The tool may place each allegation against the definition the Commission publishes, and the lawyer decides the characterisation.

**AI may:**

- Record which class of person the Commission lists is said to be the subject.
- Set out the Commission's definitions of unsatisfactory professional conduct and professional misconduct without applying them.
- Record the four step names on the process page, and leave the content of each step unread.
- Note whether the matter began as a complaint or as an investigation the Commissioner initiated.

**AI must not:**

- Do not decide that conduct is unsatisfactory professional conduct or professional misconduct.
- Do not describe what happens inside each of the four process steps. Those step pages were not opened.
- Do not cite a section of the Legal Profession Act 2007 (Qld). The Act was not opened.
- Do not use the Uniform Law definitions. This note is the Queensland Commission's page.

**The lawyer checks:**

- Read the current complaints page before the definitions are used in advice.
- Open the four step pages before any deadline or submission is planned. They were not opened.
- Confirm the subject falls within a class the Commission lists.
- Keep the response to the complaint out of this checklist.
