## When to use it

Use when a plaintiff firm instructs an engineer on how an incident happened and what precautions were available, in Victoria, Queensland or New South Wales. The lawyer decides which precautions section applies, and whether one applies at all.

## Used for these tasks

- [Draft medico-legal instructions and review the draft report](https://ailawframework.com/practice/personal-injury-and-compensation/draft-medico-legal-instructions-and-review-the-draft-report.md)
- [Check an expert report’s assumptions and AI disclosure](https://ailawframework.com/practice/personal-injury-and-compensation/check-an-expert-report-s-assumptions-and-ai-disclosure.md)
- [Check a proposed medico-legal referral before booking](https://ailawframework.com/practice/personal-injury-and-compensation/check-a-proposed-medico-legal-referral-before-booking.md)

## How AI may be used

The tool may assemble the letter from the lawyer's pleaded precautions and the document index, and the lawyer chooses the section and settles every question before it is sent.

**AI may:**

- Assemble the letter from the lawyer's questions, the assumption list and the document index.
- Insert the forum block the lawyer has selected and remove the other forum blocks.
- Check that every enclosed document is named in the index and that page numbers run in one sequence.

**AI must not:**

- Must not suggest, draft or strengthen the expert's opinion, diagnosis, impairment score or conclusion.
- Must not put health, wage or benefit records into a public or consumer tool, or into a tool that may train on them.
- Must not choose the forum's code or artificial intelligence rule from memory. The lawyer confirms the current instrument.
- Must not draft an affidavit, a witness statement or a statutory declaration.
- Must not state that a person was negligent, or choose which precautions section applies.

**The lawyer checks:**

- The printed section is the one the lawyer has confirmed, or the letter says none of the three applies.
- The questions ask for condition, mechanism and precautions, and not for a finding of negligence.
- Access to the place has been confirmed before the inspection.
- One forum block remains, and the code is enclosed.
