## When to use it

Use to build or audit the competency register for people who serve alcohol or work in gaming at a NSW venue. Record only what is on the card, interim certificate or training record. Interstate RSA is not automatically a NSW card.

## How AI may be used

AI may fill the register from competency cards, interim certificates and rosters. A person checks each expiry against the document and confirms the advanced courses for licensees and gaming managers.

**AI may:**

- Enter names, roles, course type and the expiry printed on the card or interim certificate
- Flag a blank expiry, a name that does not match the roster, and a person serving liquor with no RSA line
- List licensees, approved managers, club secretaries and gaming managers against the advanced courses the Service NSW page says are mandatory for most of those roles

**AI must not:**

- Must not invent an expiry date or a course that is not on a document
- Must not treat an interstate RSA certificate as a NSW competency card
- Must not store identity-document images in a tool that is not approved for that personal information

**The lawyer checks:**

- Every person who serves liquor has a current NSW RSA card, digital licence or interim certificate
- RCG and advanced RCG lines match the roles on the Service NSW page, including approved managers under s 91(1A) of the Liquor Act 2007
- Interim certificates used to apply for a card were issued within the last five years, and expired cards are off the floor
