A letter, with a working table, for a liquor licence applicant responding to community objections and police or council submissions: groups the issues, answers each with evidence, offers conditions, corrects errors and keeps the response consistent with the SoRPE and plan of management.

## Key facts

- Kind: Letter. A letter or email you adapt and send.
- Practice area: [Liquor, Gaming & Wagering Licensing](https://ailawframework.com/precedents/liquor-gaming-and-wagering-licensing.md)
- Jurisdictions: New South Wales, Australia
- AI level: Yellow. AI can help in set ways. A lawyer checks specific points before use.
- Law stated as at: 2026-10-18
- Status: Maintained. Checked on 2026-10-18 against the 2 authorities it cites, for New South Wales and Australia.

## When to use it

Use when Liquor & Gaming NSW or the Authority gives the applicant the objections and submissions received during the consultation period and invites a response, or when the applicant chooses to answer them before determination. Adapt for other states’ objection processes.

## Used for these tasks

## How AI may be used

AI may index the objections and submissions by issue and draft responses from the applicant’s confirmed evidence, but the lawyer decides the position on each issue and what conditions to offer, and checks every statement before the response is sent.

**AI may:**

- Index each objection and submission by author, date and issue, and group the issues in the working table
- Draft responses to each issue from the SoRPE, plan of management, security plan and expert reports
- Check that conditions offered match the plan of management and do not conflict with the development consent

**AI must not:**

- Must not characterise objectors, their motives or their circumstances, or include personal information about them beyond what is needed
- Must not concede or dispute police intelligence or incident data without the lawyer’s decision
- Must not offer licence conditions or changes to hours the applicant has not agreed to in writing

**The lawyer checks:**

- Every objection and submission received has been answered or deliberately grouped, and nothing has been missed
- Responses to police submissions are accurate and respectful, and any factual error in a submission is corrected with evidence
- Offered conditions are specific, enforceable, consistent with the plan of management, and acceptable to the applicant
- The response is lodged by the date and in the way the regulator has specified
