## How AI may be used

AI may list the paragraph 10.3 conditions and copy values from the procurement file. It must not choose the condition or write the justification.

**AI may:**

- Copy the estimated value, including options and extensions, from the procurement file into the record
- List which paragraph 10.3 conditions and Appendix A items are still blank
- Calculate whether the estimate sits at or above the threshold in paragraph 9.7

**AI must not:**

- Must not select a paragraph 10.3 condition or an Appendix A exemption
- Must not draft the statement of circumstances or the value-for-money record required by paragraph 10.5
- Must not describe an approach to one supplier as urgent, exclusive or without reasonable alternative

**The lawyer checks:**

- Threshold and Appendix A position decided before the method is chosen
- Paragraph 10.5 report filed in the records system when Division 2 applies
- Paragraph 9.11 AusTender report identifies the condition or exemption actually used
