## How AI may be used

This protocol permits a short list of bounded tasks in approved closed tools with close supervision, bars all use with safety-critical information, and keeps sworn material and advice lawyer-led.

**AI may:**

- Build a dated chronology and evidence index from documents the lawyer has selected and redacted
- Build an order, service and expiry register from sealed orders and service records
- Populate a prescribed form for the lawyer to check, other than the statement or narrative

**AI must not:**

- Must not receive restricted safety information as defined in the protocol
- Must not write, complete or rephrase any statement, affidavit or grounds
- Must not assess risk, characterise conduct, or decide who is the person most in need of protection
- Must not be used through public or consumer AI accounts for any client work

**The lawyer checks:**

- Tool approval and task category before use on each matter
- Redaction of restricted safety information before any document is processed
- Location-leak check on every outgoing document
