## When to use it

Use after a federal money judgment, to prepare a deposition or other discovery of the judgment debtor or a third party. The procedure also has to accord with the state where the court sits, to the extent Rule 69(a)(1) borrows it. Check that state's procedure before serving anything.

## How AI may be used

AI may group questions on assets, work and transfers from the judgment and the lawyer's asset notes. The lawyer chooses the procedure and writes no answer for the debtor.

**AI may:**

- Lay out topic headings from the asset notes the lawyer provides
- Tie each heading to the judgment amount and date
- List a question that assumes an asset the notes do not mention

**AI must not:**

- Must not draft the debtor's answers or a sworn questionnaire for the debtor to sign
- Must not state that an asset is exempt or not exempt
- Must not serve a subpoena, a deposition notice, or a writ

**The lawyer checks:**

- The outline is aimed at collecting the judgment, not at relitigating liability
- The lawyer has chosen federal discovery or the forum state's procedure, and has read that procedure
- Exemption questions are marked for the lawyer, with no dollar amounts filled in
