## Used for these tasks

## How AI may be used

AI may run this checklist across call logs and draft correspondence and flag possible breaches; a lawyer decides what is a breach and what must change.

**AI may:**

- Count actual contacts per week and per month from call and message logs and flag any account above the guideline's recommended limits
- Flag contact attempts outside the guideline's reasonable hours for the debtor's state or territory
- Flag letters that mention legal action, bankruptcy, sheriff attendance or credit listing so a lawyer can check each statement is accurate and instructed

**AI must not:**

- Must not decide that a contact pattern is lawful because it is under the numeric limits; the guideline treats those as recommendations within a general rule against undue harassment
- Must not generate new collection messages to debtors flagged as disputing, represented, bankrupt or in hardship
- Must not be given debtor personal information in a tool outside the firm's approved environment

**The lawyer checks:**

- Every flagged account has been reviewed and the decision recorded
- Statements about consequences of non-payment are accurate and reflect actual instructions
- Disputed, represented, hardship and bankrupt accounts have been taken out of the automated contact stream
