## How AI may be used

AI may tick which paragraph 16 items appear in a report the lawyer supplies. The lawyer decides whether the disclosure meets the practice direction.

**AI may:**

- List each paragraph 16 item and note the page of the draft report that appears to address it
- Record the name of any generative-AI program the report itself names
- Flag a report that mentions a model and has no annexure of prompts or outputs

**AI must not:**

- Must not draft or rewrite the expert's opinion
- Must not treat a missing annexure as cured by a summary of the prompts
- Must not apply this direction to a sentence proceeding, or to an indictment presented before 15 July 2024

**The lawyer checks:**

- The proceeding is in the Supreme Court of Queensland and is not a sentence
- The indictment was presented on or after 15 July 2024
- Paragraph 16(l) is read on the signed PDF. The scrape numbers two items as (ii)
