## When to use it

Use for filings in the 2nd (Butte-Silver Bow), 4th (Missoula and Mineral), 13th (Yellowstone) or 15th (Daniels, Sheridan and Roosevelt) Judicial District Courts where AI was used. In the 2nd and 4th, a filing without the certificate is presumed to certify that no generative AI was used.

## How AI may be used

A tool may choose the district variant and fill in the tool and use. The lawyer or party confirms the checks and signs.

**AI may:**

- Pick the variant for the district where the case is filed
- Fill in the tool name and the description of use the filer gives

**AI must not:**

- Must not certify accuracy of facts, procedure, citations or legal authority
- Must not use the 15th District short form in the 2nd or 4th District, which need more

**The lawyer checks:**

- The correct district and current rule
- Every citation to the law or the record was verified (13th) and all AI-assisted portions checked (2nd and 4th)
- The Rule 11 certification is true (15th)
