## Key facts

- Practice area: [Aviation, Drones & Space](https://ailawframework.com/precedents/aviation-drones-and-space.md)
- Jurisdictions: Commonwealth
- AI level: Yellow. You and the tool draft together, with you directing. You check every statement you rely on.

## When to use it

Use when preparing an ASIC application, including one that may later become a discretionary application, before the issuing body is asked to lodge it.

## How AI may be used

The tool records the role, colour and address history the lawyer supplies, and the lawyer checks operational need before anything is given to an issuing body.

**AI may:**

- Record which of the three colours on the AusCheck page matches the access the lawyer describes.
- List residential addresses for 10 years from instructions, without filling gaps.
- Note the visitor identification card limit of 28 days a year under escort, as that page states it.

**AI must not:**

- Do not state a fee. The page points to a fees page that was not opened.
- Do not describe identity documents. That page was not opened.
- Do not say the person is eligible.

**The lawyer checks:**

- Confirm the issuing body with the employer. The page says the issuing body depends on the type of ASIC and the airport.
- Apply at least 6 to 8 weeks before the card is needed, as the page advises. That is not a statutory period read from the regulations.
- The Aviation Transport Security Regulations were not opened for this sheet.
