## When to use it

Use when an owner wants an unregistered aircraft placed on the Australian Civil Aircraft Register, or needs to confirm who can be the registered operator. Read CASR 47.010 for the eligible-person definition before the form is signed. Joint owners and trusts have a separate CASA page.

## How AI may be used

AI may list the owner, the aircraft, and the Form 29 fields from the owner's documents; the lawyer checks the eligible-person test and the current fee before anyone lodges the form.

**AI may:**

- Fill the aircraft description, owner name and mark from the bill of sale and the reservation, if any
- List missing items against CASA's before-you-submit steps
- Flag joint owners for the separate joint-owner and trust page

**AI must not:**

- Must not decide that a person is an eligible person under CASR 47.010
- Must not lodge Form 29 or pay the fee
- Must not treat the $130 figure as current without checking CASA's page on the day

**The lawyer checks:**

- The applicant is a legal entity and is the owner of an unregistered aircraft
- The registered operator meets CASR 47.010, read on the day, not from this checklist
- The mark is either reserved or left for CASA to allocate
- The fee on the form matches CASA's current page
