| How AI is used | List each creditor the file shows demanded payment, with the date of the demand, the amount if printed, and the page. Leave the notice date and the claim deadline blank. |
| What the lawyer must review | Probate Code § 9050(a) requires the personal representative, subject to § 9054, to give notice of administration to the known or reasonably ascertainable creditors of the decedent. For that subdivision, the personal representative has knowledge of a creditor if aware that the creditor has demanded payment from the decedent or the estate. The notice is given as provided in § 1215. Section 9050(b) provides that this notice is in addition to publication of notice under § 8120. Section 9100(a) requires a creditor to file a claim before the later of four months after letters are first issued to a general personal representative, or 60 days after notice of administration is mailed or personally delivered to the creditor. Paragraph (a)(2) does not extend Code of Civil Procedure § 366.2. Section 9100(c) says this section does not extend or toll any other statute of limitations or revive a barred claim, and that reference includes § 366.2. You decide who must receive notice and you compute the later date. |

## Checking plan

- What the AI does: List each creditor the file shows demanded payment, with the date of the demand, the amount if printed, and the page. Leave the notice date and the claim deadline blank.
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- Open §§ 9054, 1215 and 8120 before you give notice. Section 9050 names them and does not restate them.
- Open Code of Civil Procedure § 366.2 before you tell a creditor a claim is timely. Section 9100 does not extend it.
- Four months and 60 days are California periods. Another state uses its own creditor-claim statute.
