## Checking plan

**Lawyer-led judgement**

The lawyer makes the substantive assessment. Any permitted AI assistance remains supporting work with its own checks.

- What the AI does: The tool writes nothing in the account or any statutory declaration. It may list the questions the scheme's form asks and the records the client refers to, in a strictly tabular, source-tagged list.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer takes the account in the client's own words, in a trauma-informed way and only as far as the scheme requires, reads it back, and confirms it reflects the client's own experience before it is signed.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.
- Restriction: The lawyer makes the substantive assessment. Any permitted AI assistance remains supporting work with its own checks.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Confirm the scheme actually needs the account before asking the client to give it.
2. Confirm no AI-generated sentence, outline or prompt wording appears in the account.
3. Record that the account was read back to the client and that they confirmed it.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
