| How AI is used | From the notice, copy the date it was sent, the due date, whether it is described as a standard levy, a special levy or an urgent-repair levy, and whether a Financial Hardship Information Statement or its contents are enclosed. The tool does not decide that the notice is valid. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer decides whether the notice can be relied on. The periods below are taken from the New South Wales government levies page. The lawyer confirms them against the Act before a scheme acts on a short notice. This check stops at the contribution notice. It does not decide the earliest day proceedings may be started. |

## Checking plan

**Line-by-line review**

Review the complete output at the level of each line; check facts, meaning and omissions.

- What the AI does: From the notice, copy the date it was sent, the due date, whether it is described as a standard levy, a special levy or an urgent-repair levy, and whether a Financial Hardship Information Statement or its contents are enclosed. The tool does not decide that the notice is valid.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides whether the notice can be relied on. The periods below are taken from the New South Wales government levies page. The lawyer confirms them against the Act before a scheme acts on a short notice. This check stops at the contribution notice. It does not decide the earliest day proceedings may be started.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Count the days from the notice to the due date. Use 14 days only where the papers show the levy is for urgent repairs.
2. Confirm the Financial Hardship Information Statement, or its information including the National Debt Helpline, is with the notice.
3. If a payment plan is in place and the ledger shows it is being met, mark debt recovery as not available on this page.
4. Do not add a court filing date. This check is the contribution notice only.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
