| How AI is used | From the sheet the lawyer supplies, list the artist, the services named, the term, any commission figure that is printed, and any grant of name, voice, signature, photograph or likeness, in the sheet's words. Write no sentence of the management agreement. |
| What the lawyer must review | You write the agreement. Section 204(a) requires a signed writing for a transfer of copyright ownership, other than by operation of law, and the exclusive rights in § 106 are the rights to measure a grant against, subject to §§ 107 through 122. Open § 101 before you treat a clause as a transfer. Civil Code § 3344(a)(1) imposes liability for knowingly using another's name, voice, signature, photograph or likeness, on or in products, merchandise or goods, or for advertising, selling or soliciting purchases, without that person's prior consent, or the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian when the person is a minor. Read the rest of § 3344, including its exceptions, before the agreement relies on it. If the artist is an unemancipated minor, § 6750(a) applies to the contract types it lists when the contract with a third party is entered on or after 1 January 2000, including a contract to render artistic or creative services. You decide whether this agreement is one of those types. If it is, § 6752 requires a set-aside of 15 percent of the minor's gross earnings pursuant to the contract, both in an order approving the contract and where the contract is not submitted for approval or approval is denied, with the exceptions that section states. Gross earnings are defined in § 6750(d). |

## Checking plan

- What the AI does: From the sheet the lawyer supplies, list the artist, the services named, the term, any commission figure that is printed, and any grant of name, voice, signature, photograph or likeness, in the sheet's words. Write no sentence of the management agreement.
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- Sections 3344, 6750 and 6752 are California. Another state has its own rule for a minor's contract and for a name or likeness.
- The 15 percent paragraphs in § 6752 except an employer of a minor for services as an extra, background performer, or in a similar capacity, as described in § 6750(b)(3). Read those paragraphs before you treat an engagement as covered.
