| How AI is used | From the term sheet the lawyer supplies, list each work named, each right named, the term, and the territory, in the sheet's own words. Write no sentence of the agreement. |
| What the lawyer must review | You write the agreement. If the subject is a copyrighted work, 17 U.S.C. § 106, subject to §§ 107 through 122, gives the owner the exclusive rights to reproduce the work, to prepare derivative works, to distribute copies or phonorecords to the public, to perform publicly the literary, musical, dramatic and choreographic works, pantomimes, and motion pictures and other audiovisual works that paragraph (4) names, to display publicly the works paragraph (5) names, and, for sound recordings, to perform them publicly by digital audio transmission. Section 204(a) says a transfer of copyright ownership, other than by operation of law, is not valid without an instrument or memorandum in writing signed by the owner of the rights conveyed or the owner's duly authorized agent. The term sheet is that writing only if you decide it meets § 204(a). Open § 101 before you treat a nonexclusive permission as a transfer, and open § 102 before you treat a broadcast as a work of authorship. Copy a fee only when the sheet prints it. |

## Checking plan

- What the AI does: From the term sheet the lawyer supplies, list each work named, each right named, the term, and the territory, in the sheet's own words. Write no sentence of the agreement.
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- Section 106 is subject to sections 107 through 122. A right copied from the sheet is not a finding that a use infringes.
- No collective-bargaining agreement was opened. A fee goes on the list only when the sheet prints the figure.
