## Checking plan

**Source-by-source verification**

Compare the post and the arrangement with section 2.7 and the practice note, including the labels the note treats as insufficient.

- What the AI does: From the post, the brief and the talent contract, list the payment or free product, the words and hashtags used, where the post sits, and whether the brand is posting on its own channel. Do not rewrite the post.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides whether the post is advertising, whether the commercial relationship is clear, obvious and upfront, and what must change before it is published.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not an Ad Standards determination.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Confirm any payment, gift or affiliate arrangement from the contract or brief, not from the caption alone.
2. Test the label against the practice note, which says #ad, Advert, Advertising, Branded Content, Paid Partnership and Paid Promotion can be sufficient, and that #sp, Spon, gifted, Affiliate, Collab, thanks to, or only naming the brand, may not.
3. If the brand is posting its own product on its own channel, record why it is or is not already clear, rather than adding a label by default.
4. Keep wagering and match-day advertising rules as a separate check where the sponsor is a wagering provider.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
