| How AI is used | From the claim and the payment record, list whether a compensation affected payment was received since the injury, whether the payment is a kind the page says is not compensation, and whether a preliminary or recovery notice has issued. The tool does not complete the form. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer decides what must be told to the agency, whether funds can be released, and completes the notice. |

## Checking plan

**Source-by-source verification**

Trace relied-on content to independent sources and check for relevant material the output has missed.

- What the AI does: From the claim and the payment record, list whether a compensation affected payment was received since the injury, whether the payment is a kind the page says is not compensation, and whether a preliminary or recovery notice has issued. The tool does not complete the form.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides what must be told to the agency, whether funds can be released, and completes the notice.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Use Part 3.14. List only the affected payments named on the page, and exclude criminal-injury, superannuation disability, dismissal, discrimination and natural-disaster payments as the page does.
2. A notice under section 1182 or 1184 can stop the payer releasing funds until written approval. Do not assign either section to the preliminary notice or the recovery notice. The page does not say which section is which.
3. Record the seven-day period for the person to tell the agency after becoming aware that compensation has been or will be received. Do not reuse that period for every other change.
4. This notice is separate from the preclusion worksheet and from a request to disregard compensation for special circumstances.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
