## Checking plan

**Lawyer-led judgement**

The lawyer makes the substantive assessment. Any permitted AI assistance remains supporting work with its own checks.

- What the AI does: The tool writes nothing into the statement or affidavit. It may produce a strictly tabular, source-tagged list of the documents the party refers to, such as notices, the ledger, condition reports and photographs.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer takes the landlord's, agent's or tenant's account in their own words and confirms it reflects their own knowledge before it is signed or filed.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.
- Restriction: The lawyer makes the substantive assessment. Any permitted AI assistance remains supporting work with its own checks.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Confirm no AI-generated sentence, outline or heading appears in the statement.
2. Check each document referred to is in the bundle and is the version the party saw.
3. Read the statement back to the party and record their confirmation.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
