| How AI is used | From the bond and the contract, record the issuer, the amount, the expiry date, the date 14 days before expiry, and the date 7 days before expiry. Note whether a replacement from the same issuer, for the same amount, with an expiry at least three months after its issue, is on the file. Do not call on the bond. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer decides whether the vendor accepted the bond, whether time for providing it or a replacement has passed, and whether any right to terminate has been lost because a replacement was served or the deposit was paid in full. Confirm the edition printed on the contract. |

## Checking plan

**Lawyer review required**

The responsible lawyer checks acceptance, expiry and whether the right to terminate has been lost.

- What the AI does: From the bond and the contract, record the issuer, the amount, the expiry date, the date 14 days before expiry, and the date 7 days before expiry. Note whether a replacement from the same issuer, for the same amount, with an expiry at least three months after its issue, is on the file. Do not call on the bond.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides whether the vendor accepted the bond, whether time for providing it or a replacement has passed, and whether any right to terminate has been lost because a replacement was served or the deposit was paid in full. Confirm the edition printed on the contract.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Diary 14 days and 7 days before expiry. Do not invent another notice period.
2. A replacement the vendor must approve is from the same issuer, for the same amount, and expires at least three months after issue.
3. If the purchaser has disputed the termination before it happens, the bond goes to the stakeholder.
4. Confirm the edition on the contract. This is the 2022 sample.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
