## Key facts

| Fact | Value |

| Practice area | [Personal Injury & Compensation (workers compensation, CTP/TAC, medical negligence)](https://ailawframework.com/practice/personal-injury-and-compensation.md) |
| Human involvement | Yellow: Lawyer and AI draft together |
| How AI is used | Build a table of the accident place, each vehicle's registration, and where the injured person lives. Do not choose the scheme. |
| What the lawyer must review | You decide which claims process applies and where the notice is sent. An accident outside Queensland follows the process of the accident place. A Queensland accident with an outside registration uses the Queensland notice as a PDF, not the portal. Use a firm-controlled tool. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11 and any notifiable breach. |

## Checking plan

**Verify against sources**

The lawyer chooses the process from the accident place and the registration. The tool only tables those facts.

- What the AI does: Build a table of the accident place, each vehicle's registration, and where the injured person lives. Do not choose the scheme.
- What the lawyer does: Make the legal assessment, check the source material and authorise the output for its intended use.
- Who reviews: Lawyer competent in this practice area
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 23 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Record the accident place and each registration.
2. Do not describe another place's benefits.
3. Leave the recipient blank until the lawyer confirms the insurer.

## Notes

- Health, wage and scheme records stay in a firm-controlled tool. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a disclosure is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- The Commission's claim page says an accident outside Queensland involving a Queensland-registered vehicle follows the claims process of the accident place, while the claim is lodged with and managed by the Queensland insurer. An accident in Queensland involving a vehicle registered outside Queensland is claimed under the Queensland scheme, lodged with and managed by the outside insurer. The Queensland notice must be the PDF, not the portal.

## Practical guide

Jurisdiction: Queensland motor accidents and registrations from outside Queensland

**Deliverable**: A facts table. The scheme is not chosen.

**Inputs**

- The accident place
- Each vehicle's registration
- Where the injured person lives

**Example**: Illustrative example: The crash was in Queensland and the other vehicle's registration is from outside Queensland. The table records those two facts and says the notice, if sent, is the PDF. It does not name the insurer.

**Stop and escalate when**

- The accident place or the registration is missing.
- The output would copy another place's benefit table.
