## Checking plan

**Source-by-source verification**

Put only opened day counts on the timetable, name who is served and who is not, and leave the evidence to the lawyer.

- What the AI does: In a firm-controlled tool, set out the opened filing and service times and who must be served before an approval hearing. The tool writes nothing that is filed or signed.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer confirms the forum, the dates, and any written agreement to a shorter time. The lawyer prepares the supporting evidence. The tool writes none of it. The lawyer confirms the current text of the filing and service rule before the dates are used.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Use 30 days only for the Victorian rules that were opened, and flag that version 003 and version 021 were not opened.
2. Use five business days, and seven days for service of the order, only for the Queensland practice directions that were opened, and record any written agreement to a shorter time.
3. Put no day count on a New South Wales section 76 approval. Keep the bench book's 28 days on the management application, labelled as the bench book's statement.
4. List the opinion and the supporting evidence as not served, where the opened rule or direction says so, and write none of that evidence.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
- Health, wage and capacity records stay in a firm-controlled tool. The lawyer checks confidentiality under the conduct rules that bind the firm, whether the firm is an APP entity, Australian Privacy Principle 11 on security and destruction, and whether a loss would be notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The serious-harm threshold page was not opened.
- Practice Note SC Gen 23, paragraph 10, and Practice Note SC GEN 25, paragraphs 6.10 to 6.12, apply to affidavit material. The Queensland courts page warns against putting confidential information into a public chatbot. The tool writes no affidavit.
