| How AI is used | From the lawyer's witness list and the document index, set out the order of witnesses and the page of each document to be shown to that witness. The tool does not prepare the bundle given to the judge. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer settles the order and anything given to the associate or the other parties. Check that each document is one the party may show that witness. A provisional list sent to the court is read by the lawyer before it is sent. Keep clinical records in a firm-controlled tool. |

## Checking plan

**Witness order**

The lawyer settles the order and the bundle. The tool lists witnesses and document pages.

- What the AI does: From the lawyer's witness list and the document index, set out the order of witnesses and the page of each document to be shown to that witness. The tool does not prepare the bundle given to the judge.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer settles the order and anything given to the associate or the other parties. Check that each document is one the party may show that witness. A provisional list sent to the court is read by the lawyer before it is sent. Keep clinical records in a firm-controlled tool.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Match each document to the witness who will be shown it, and to a page in the index.
2. Separate documents that belong in a witness bundle from documents in the key file.
3. Where experts share a field, check whether the order requires their evidence to be heard together.
4. Confirm each necessary witness is available before a request for a trial date is signed.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
