## Checking plan

**Verify against sources**

The lawyer decides relevance against the directions order. The tool prepares the list from what the lawyer has selected.

- What the AI does: Draft the list of documents, categories and pagination checks from the material the lawyer selects for a workers' compensation appeal, and flag apparent duplicates. Do not decide relevance.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides what is relevant, checks the list against the directions, and authorises filing.
- Who reviews: Lawyer competent in this practice area
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 23 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Read the directions order. The QIRC says directions set which documents are filed, when, and whether they go to the other parties.
2. The Commission's workers' compensation page lists Form 23 as the list of documents. Use that form if the directions require it, and do not invent a page limit.
3. Verify every title, date and page reference. Remove duplicates the lawyer did not ask to keep.
4. A submission about the documents must name the responsible practitioner under Practice Direction 1 of 2026.

## Notes

- This version is the QIRC appeal bundle. A proceeding in the Supreme Court or District Court follows that court's directions, not a Commission form.
- Practice Direction 1 of 2026 applies to submissions. It does not authorise the tool to choose which clinical records are relevant.
- Medical records stay in a firm-controlled tool. Apply ASCR r 9 and APP 11, and consider whether a breach is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

## Practical guide

Jurisdiction: Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, workers' compensation appeal

**Deliverable**: A list of documents and pagination check, ready for the lawyer's filing check.

**Inputs**

- The directions order
- Documents the lawyer has marked as relevant
- Any list already filed

**Example**: Illustrative example: The draft list includes every hospital page. The lawyer cuts it back to the documents the directions order calls for and signs the list.

**Stop and escalate when**

- There is no directions order saying what must be filed.
- Page numbers or redactions cannot be checked against the source pages.

Checked 2026-10-23.
