## Key facts

| Fact | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Practice area | [Personal Injury & Compensation (workers compensation, CTP/TAC, medical negligence)](https://ailawframework.com/practice/personal-injury-and-compensation.md) |
| Human involvement | Yellow: Lawyer and AI draft together |
| How AI is used | Draft a first-contact plan from facts the lawyer supplies: how the client wishes to be identified, whether an interpreter is needed, whether a support person will attend, how a message can reach the client, and any date the client cannot attend. It does not fill those fields from a general description of a culture. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer settles what is asked, and what is written down. The plan does not assume a language, a family structure, or a custom. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a breach is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). |

## Checking plan

**Check every instance**

The lawyer and the tool work together. The lawyer checks this output before it is used.

- What the AI does: Draft a first-contact plan from facts the lawyer supplies: how the client wishes to be identified, whether an interpreter is needed, whether a support person will attend, how a message can reach the client, and any date the client cannot attend. It does not fill those fields from a general description of a culture.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer settles what is asked, and what is written down. The plan does not assume a language, a family structure, or a custom. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a breach is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Every field comes from the client or the lawyer. Nothing is filled from a general description.
2. A yes is not treated as instructions until the lawyer has checked understanding.
3. An interpreter is arranged when the lawyer says one is needed, not from a presumption about the client.
4. A date the client cannot attend is recorded. It is not assessed against a list of ceremonies.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
- Health and client information stays in a firm-controlled tool. A public tool is not used.
- No Victorian guidance page was opened. There is no Victorian version.
- The resource's view about working with community services is stated for criminal, family, and care and protection work. It is not applied here as a duty on an injury file.
