## Key facts

| Fact | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Practice area | [Personal Injury & Compensation (workers compensation, CTP/TAC, medical negligence)](https://ailawframework.com/practice/personal-injury-and-compensation.md) |
| Human involvement | Yellow: Lawyer and AI draft together |
| How AI is used | From the facts the lawyer has already marked, the tool lists each scheme those facts appear to touch and the section the lawyer has named for the overlap. It does not decide eligibility and it does not calculate a deadline. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer decides which schemes the facts can touch, and which Act applies to each. The map does not decide eligibility and does not calculate a deadline. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a breach is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). |

## Checking plan

**Check every instance**

The lawyer and the tool work together. The lawyer checks this output before it is used.

- What the AI does: From the facts the lawyer has already marked, the tool lists each scheme those facts appear to touch and the section the lawyer has named for the overlap. It does not decide eligibility and it does not calculate a deadline.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides which schemes the facts can touch, and which Act applies to each. The map does not decide eligibility and does not calculate a deadline. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a breach is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Confirm each line of the map cites a section or policy page that was marked by the lawyer.
2. Confirm the map does not say the person is eligible, and does not give a deadline.
3. In Queensland, do not use one notice period for an injury s 6 allocates to the other Act.
4. In New South Wales, do not describe s 3.35 as a free choice to drop one claim. Record the duty to tell both insurers.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
- Health and client information stays in a firm-controlled tool. A public tool is not used.
