| How AI is used | From the intake facts the lawyer has marked, the tool lists the likely respondent and the body that may pay, using only the sections named in the file. It does not send a notice or name a person the facts do not support. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer decides who is named as respondent and who is asked to pay. The list does not give notice and does not start a claim. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a breach is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). |

## Checking plan

**Check every instance**

The lawyer and the tool work together. The lawyer checks this output before it is used.

- What the AI does: From the intake facts the lawyer has marked, the tool lists the likely respondent and the body that may pay, using only the sections named in the file. It does not send a notice or name a person the facts do not support.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides who is named as respondent and who is asked to pay. The list does not give notice and does not start a claim. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a breach is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Confirm each named body is supported by a fact in the interview note and by a section in the file.
2. Confirm the list has not been sent, and has not been turned into a notice.
3. In Queensland, name the Nominal Defendant only where the vehicle cannot be identified.
4. Do not invent a nominal-defendant or host-employer rule for a state whose page was not opened.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
- Health and client information stays in a firm-controlled tool. A public tool is not used.
