| How AI is used | From the family documents the lawyer selects, list each person, the relationship the document states, and whether that relationship is one of the classes in the section the lawyer names. Do not decide who is a dependant. |
| What the lawyer must review | You decide who qualifies and who should sue. The tool only rows the classes in the section you name. One claim is brought for those people. You decide the shares. Do not add a class the section does not list. Family, wage and medical records stay in a firm-controlled tool. ASCR r 9 and APP 11 apply. A breach may be notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). |

## Checking plan

**Classes, plaintiff and shares**

The tool rows the statutory classes. The lawyer decides who qualifies, who sues, and how any award is divided.

- What the AI does: From the family documents the lawyer selects, list each person, the relationship the document states, and whether that relationship is one of the classes in the section the lawyer names. Do not decide who is a dependant.
- What the lawyer does: You decide who qualifies and who should sue.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Match each person to a class in the opened section, and delete any person the section does not list.
2. Record whether the executor or a family member is the plaintiff, and any waiting period the section states.
3. Leave the shares blank until you decide them. The table is not the filed particular.
4. Keep dates of birth and wage records in the firm tool, and do not paste them into a public tool.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
