## Checking plan

**Lawyer-led filing**

The lawyer settles the originating process. The tool lists the form, endorsement and service step from the sources.

- What the AI does: From the lawyer's facts sheet, list the form of originating process, the list endorsement, the filing step and the service step for the forum the lawyer names. The tool does not write the filed document.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer chooses the form, the heading and the relief, and writes the process that is filed. Check the time allowed for service and whether personal service is required. Confirm the claim is ready to meet the court's preparation standard before it is filed.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.
- Restriction: The lawyer writes anything filed with the court or signed by the client. The tool may organise, extract, compare, index or comment.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Match the form to the forum the lawyer has chosen, and read the current rule before filing.
2. In Victoria, endorse the heading with the correct list name before the writ is filed.
3. In Queensland, attach the statement of claim to the claim and show jurisdiction where the rule requires it.
4. In New South Wales, confirm the particulars and proposed directions will go with the statement of claim.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
