WorkCover, last updated 13 May 2026, requires travel without significant interruptions or detours, and a trip home started without major delays. WorkSafe requires the journey to have started without any major delays or deviations and the worker to be travelling directly. Both cover home and work, training, treatment on an existing claim, travel between employers, and travel for work including interstate and overseas. Both exclude an injury before the journey starts. Travel outside the normal workplace needs employment as a significant contributing factor. Neither page states a section number.
