| How AI is used | The tool lists the enquirer's stated relationship and any order or instrument the enquirer produces. It does not decide that the enquirer can give instructions. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer checks any order or instrument against the rule that applies. A relative is not treated as authorised unless that rule says so. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a breach is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). |

## Checking plan

**Check every instance**

The lawyer and the tool work together. The lawyer checks this output before it is used.

- What the AI does: The tool lists the enquirer's stated relationship and any order or instrument the enquirer produces. It does not decide that the enquirer can give instructions.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer checks any order or instrument against the rule that applies. A relative is not treated as authorised unless that rule says so. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a breach is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Confirm the note records the instrument produced and does not interpret it.
2. Confirm a family relationship has not been treated as authority to conduct the claim.
3. Keep the pre-court notice authority in Queensland separate from authority to conduct a proceeding.
4. Do not state the effect of a power of attorney. That legislation was not opened.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
- Health and client information stays in a firm-controlled tool. A public tool is not used.
- Powers of attorney Acts were not opened and are not stated.
