## Key facts

| Fact | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Practice area | [Personal Injury & Compensation (workers compensation, CTP/TAC, medical negligence)](https://ailawframework.com/practice/personal-injury-and-compensation.md) |
| Human involvement | Yellow: Lawyer and AI draft together |
| How AI is used | From the wage and support records the lawyer selects, row each dependant, the support described, the period and the document, and mark a receipt if the section the lawyer names says it is not taken into account. Do not calculate an award or insert a discount for a new relationship. |
| What the lawyer must review | You set the dependency and the period. The tool does not award a figure or a percentage. Ignore a sum only where the section says it is not taken into account. Do not import another state's list. Do not insert a discount for a future relationship unless the section you opened allows that discount. ASCR r 9 and APP 11 apply. A breach may be notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). |

## Checking plan

**Support table without a final award**

The tool rows support and marks statutory exclusions. The lawyer fixes the dependency and does not take a forbidden sum into account.

- What the AI does: From the wage and support records the lawyer selects, row each dependant, the support described, the period and the document, and mark a receipt if the section the lawyer names says it is not taken into account. Do not calculate an award or insert a discount for a new relationship.
- What the lawyer does: You set the dependency and the period.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Tie every earnings figure to a wage record, and every service to a document.
2. Mark insurance, superannuation and the pensions named in the section as not to be taken into account, and no others.
3. Leave remarriage and new-relationship rows blank unless the section deals with them, and then follow that section only.
4. Leave tax and any discount rate blank until you state the figure the opened section requires.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
