## Checking plan

**Who may make the NDIS decision**

List the appointments. The lawyer decides whose signature is effective for this decision.

- What the AI does: From the plan, any nominee appointment, any guardianship or administration order, and the child's circumstances, list who the documents name and which decisions those documents cover. Do not say who should decide.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides whether the participant can make the decision with support, whether a nominee or guardian has authority for this decision, and who may sign the request.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Read the nominee instrument and any guardianship order for the class of decision, not for a general status.
2. A family member named as a supporter is not treated as a substitute decision-maker unless an appointment says so.
3. For a reassessment form, check the page's limit: participant, plan nominee or child representative.
4. The lawyer writes any submission about capacity or authority.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
