| How AI is used | From the judgment or settlement, the plan, and the participant's compensation information, list the payer, whether the claim is still open, the dates of injury and of first NDIS use, and the supports the file says relate to the injury. Do not calculate the final reduction. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer decides what counts as compensation, whether recovery is from the payer or the participant, and whether a compensation reduction amount should be disputed. |

## Checking plan

**Compensation and plan funding**

Separate money still to be recovered from a reduction of future funding, using the Agency's own descriptions.

- What the AI does: From the judgment or settlement, the plan, and the participant's compensation information, list the payer, whether the claim is still open, the dates of injury and of first NDIS use, and the supports the file says relate to the injury. Do not calculate the final reduction.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer decides what counts as compensation, whether recovery is from the payer or the participant, and whether a compensation reduction amount should be disputed.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Record whether the Agency was told before or after the participant was paid. The page treats those as different recovery paths.
2. Do not adopt the calculator figure as the compensation reduction amount. The page says the final figure can differ.
3. Identify the state scheme from the payment documents. The page's examples are not a complete list.
4. The lawyer writes any dispute of the reduction. The map does not.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
