## Checking plan

**Lawyer review required**

The responsible lawyer reviews the work against the instructions, sources and intended use.

- What the AI does: From the applicant's treating reports, assessments and identity and residence documents the lawyer has selected, build an index listing each document, its author, date and the access requirement it is offered for, and a checklist of the access request's required parts.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer confirms the evidence set is complete for the requirements relied on, decides whether to lodge now or wait for further evidence given the limits on new access requests, and approves the request.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Check every document in the index is dated, authored and actually in the bundle.
2. Confirm the bundle addresses the access requirements relied on, including age and residence.
3. Check whether an earlier access request is still open, because the Act now limits new requests made while one is pending.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
