| How AI is used | From the endorsement and the voyage, mark the gross tons if the papers state them, the passenger count if stated, the propulsion type, the route named on the endorsement, and the expiry printed on the credential. Do not apply a length or horsepower cap the endorsement does not state. |
| What the lawyer must review | 46 CFR section 11.467 applies to an endorsement as operator of uninspected passenger vessels of less than 100 GRT, equipped with propulsion machinery of any type, carrying six or fewer passengers. A near-coastal endorsement limits service to domestic near-coastal waters not more than 100 miles offshore, the Great Lakes, and all inland waters. An inland endorsement includes inland waters except the Great Lakes. Paragraphs (f) and (g) allow a limited endorsement for a stated camp, yacht club, educational institution or marina, and a restricted endorsement for specific inland bodies of water approved by the officer in charge of marine inspection. Section 7101(b) allows classification by tonnage, means of propulsion, horsepower, and the waters of operation, and subsection (c) includes operators as a class. The section 11.467 text that was opened states no horsepower cap. You decide whether this endorsement covers this vessel and this route. The service and examination requirements in section 11.467 are for issuance, not a substitute for the route printed on the credential. |

## Checking plan

- What the AI does: From the endorsement and the voyage, mark the gross tons if the papers state them, the passenger count if stated, the propulsion type, the route named on the endorsement, and the expiry printed on the credential. Do not apply a length or horsepower cap the endorsement does not state.
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- This is not a certificate for an inspected passenger vessel. A vessel carrying more than six passengers is outside section 11.467(a).
- Section 11.201(i), cited for first aid and CPR on a limited endorsement, was not opened.
