| Human involvement | Yellow: Lawyer and AI draft together |
| How AI is used | From the file note of the advice session, draft the letter from the service’s template: the question the client asked, the advice given, what the service will do and will not do, next steps and deadlines for the client, and where else to get help. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer confirms the advice in the letter is what they gave, that the limits of the service are stated clearly, that every deadline is right, and that the letter is safe to send to the address or email the client nominated. |

## Checking plan

**Line-by-line review**

Review the complete output at the level of each line, paragraph or clause; check facts, meaning and omissions.

- What the AI does: From the file note of the advice session, draft the letter from the service’s template: the question the client asked, the advice given, what the service will do and will not do, next steps and deadlines for the client, and where else to get help.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer confirms the advice in the letter is what they gave, that the limits of the service are stated clearly, that every deadline is right, and that the letter is safe to send to the address or email the client nominated.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Confirm the client’s personal, financial and safety information goes only into a tool the service has approved for client data, and that the output discloses nothing the client has not agreed to share.
2. Check the advice stated against the lawyer’s own file note.
3. Confirm the scope section says plainly what the service is not doing.
4. Check every deadline against the source rule or document and confirm the client can be safely contacted at the address used.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
