| Human involvement | Red: Lawyer writes; AI may check, clarify or collect data |
| How AI is used | List the income, assets, and household facts the applicant stated, and quote the request for help in the applicant's words. Write no intake conclusion, no eligibility finding, and no note of parenting or property orders. |
| What the lawyer must review | You write the intake conclusion. A Legal Services Corporation recipient may provide legal assistance supported with LSC funds only to individuals the recipient has determined to be financially eligible (45 CFR § 1611.4(a)). Under § 1611.4(b) the assets must be within the recipient's ceiling, or the ceiling waived, and income must be at or below the recipient's annual income ceiling, unless an exception in § 1611.5 applies. Section 1611.5 was not opened. Section 1611.4(c) permits a determination without a separate income and asset inquiry only in the governmental-program case it describes, including a governing-body finding that the program's income standards are at or below 125 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines and that the program has an assets test. Section 1620.2 distinguishes a case, which is legal services to one or more specific clients including advice, from a matter, which does not involve direct legal advice to or representation of a specific client. Section 1620.3 requires a written statement of priorities adopted by the governing body. No family-law merits rule and no mediation-privilege rule were opened. The tool does not decide eligibility, priority, or the outcome of a family proceeding. |

## Checking plan

- What the AI does: List the income, assets, and household facts the applicant stated, and quote the request for help in the applicant's words. Write no intake conclusion, no eligibility finding, and no note of parenting or property orders.
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- This is not a family dispute resolution conference and it is not an intake under an Australian family-law scheme. No privilege statute was opened.
- Do not apply § 1611.5. An applicant whose stated income is above the recipient's ceiling is left for you.
