| How AI is used | Index the ledgers, minutes, and contracts the lawyer marks, with the date and the page, and list topics that recur: related-party payments, missing months, and changes in control. Do not write findings. |
| What the lawyer must review | 11 U.S.C. § 1106(a)(3) requires a chapter 11 trustee, except to the extent the court orders otherwise, to investigate the acts, conduct, assets, liabilities, and financial condition of the debtor, the operation of the business and the desirability of its continuance, and any other matter relevant to the case or to a plan. Section 1106(a)(4) requires the trustee, as soon as practicable, to file a statement of that investigation, including facts about fraud, dishonesty, incompetence, misconduct, mismanagement, or irregularity, or a cause of action available to the estate, and to transmit a copy or a summary to the committees and indenture trustees the subsection names. The tool does not write that statement. Whether a debtor in possession has the same duty is 11 U.S.C. § 1107, which was not opened. Formal Opinion 512 and Rule 1.6 apply to the books. |

## Checking plan

- What the AI does: Index the ledgers, minutes, and contracts the lawyer marks, with the date and the page, and list topics that recur: related-party payments, missing months, and changes in control. Do not write findings.
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- Section 1106(a)(1) points to listed paragraphs of § 704(a). Those paragraphs were not opened, so they are not described here.
- An examiner appointed under § 1104(d) performs the duties in § 1106(a)(3) and (a)(4), under § 1106(b). Section 1104 itself was not opened.
