| Practice area | [Insolvency, Restructuring & Bankruptcy](https://ailawframework.com/practice/insolvency-restructuring-and-bankruptcy.md) |
| Human involvement | Red: Lawyer writes; AI may check, clarify or collect data |
| How AI is used | Build the chronology from the demand and the extracts, citing the source document for every entry, and index the exhibits to each affidavit. The tool writes no part of the originating process or of any supporting affidavit — no draft, no scaffold, no suggested paragraphs; on the sworn evidence it may only list facts that still need a source and compare the lawyer’s draft against the cited documents and the court’s form. Meet GPN-AI duties (also NSW SC Gen 23, Qld PD 5 of 2025). Invent no citations. |
| What the lawyer must review | Verify citations on AustLII (Murray v Victoria [2025] FCA 731; Handa & Mallick [2024] FedCFamC2F 957) Under GPN-AI (16 April 2026), confirm facts, authorities and evidence Disclose AI used to prepare evidence at the start of the document Meet SC Gen 23 (from 3 February 2025) and Qld PD 5 of 2025 (24 September 2025) duties Check every dollar figure |

## Checking plan

**Lawyer review required**

The responsible lawyer reviews the work against the instructions, sources and intended use.

- What the AI does: Potential support includes organising research leads and preparing preliminary structure or wording. Confirm the tool’s capability and permitted scope.
- What the lawyer does: Set the scope, verify the evidence, resolve exceptions and approve the final output for its intended use.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Suggested checking approach based on the task guidance. Complete the assessment for the actual tool, information and jurisdiction.
- Why: The plan reflects the described work and review requirements. Policy colours are not used to determine permission or checking.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Open each relied-on authority independently. Confirm its existence, current status, proposition and any quotation or pinpoint reference.
2. Confirm each factual assertion with the witness and original record. Preserve the witness’s own knowledge and words, and check the court’s rules for this document.
3. Trace every relied-on figure to its source, confirm dates and assumptions, and independently recalculate totals or derived amounts.
4. Check the current court or regulator requirements, prescribed form and attachments for the intended document and filing.
5. Check the specialist’s assumptions, qualifications and limits. Obtain the relevant expert or specialist review before relying on a technical conclusion.
6. Confirm the output against the client’s instructions and the complete relevant source material, including omissions or contradictions.
7. Resolve exceptions and record the responsible lawyer’s approval of the exact output and intended use.

## Notes

- Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts. The checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
