| Human involvement | Green: AI drafts, lawyer checks |
| How AI is used | From the conditions or undertaking, the monitoring requirements and the practitioner’s records (supervision reports, screening results, practice logs), populate the validated compliance tracker with each requirement, its due date and the evidence held, and flag anything overdue or missing. |
| What the lawyer must review | The lawyer confirms the tracker reflects the restrictions as imposed, checks the evidence before it is sent to the regulator, advises the practitioner on any risk of non-compliance, and decides when to seek review or removal. |

## Checking plan

**Lawyer review required**

The responsible lawyer reviews the work against the instructions, sources and intended use.

- What the AI does: From the conditions or undertaking, the monitoring requirements and the practitioner’s records (supervision reports, screening results, practice logs), populate the validated compliance tracker with each requirement, its due date and the evidence held, and flag anything overdue or missing.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer confirms the tracker reflects the restrictions as imposed, checks the evidence before it is sent to the regulator, advises the practitioner on any risk of non-compliance, and decides when to seek review or removal.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Confirm patient health information goes only into a tool the practice has approved for health records, de-identified where the task allows, and that the output discloses no patient detail beyond what the recipient needs.
2. Check each requirement against the conditions or undertaking as published.
3. Confirm each piece of evidence before it is sent.
4. Confirm the review period end date and any review application date.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
