## Checking plan

**Lawyer review required**

The responsible lawyer reviews the work against the instructions, sources and intended use.

- What the AI does: From the sealed orders, the affidavits or certificates of service and the police service record, draft a register row for each order: type, issuing court, date, conditions in force, service date and method, expiry date and extension-filing date.
- What the lawyer does: The lawyer confirms each row against the sealed order, confirms that service or notification has actually happened, and decides whether an interstate order needs a declaration before it can be enforced here.
- Who reviews: Responsible lawyer with competence in the matter
- Basis: Practical workflow informed by the linked primary sources; the traffic light and working checks are editorial guidance, not a court classification.
- Why: The level reflects what the work is, the consequence of an error, and how much of the output the lawyer must independently re-derive.

## Checks the lawyer makes

1. Check each row against the sealed order rather than the application or a draft; the conditions made are frequently not the conditions sought.
2. Confirm service or notification from the certificate or affidavit of service or the police record, and mark the order as not yet enforceable against the respondent until that is established.
3. Calculate the expiry date from the order's own terms and set the extension-filing date well before it, leaving time for service.
4. For an order made in another jurisdiction, record the issuing jurisdiction and the date made and flag whether a declaration is needed; do not record it as enforceable until the lawyer confirms the respondent was properly notified under the law of the jurisdiction that made it.
5. Check the register for protected addresses and contact details before it is shared with anyone beyond the lawyer and the client.

## Notes

- These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
