| Human involvement | Red: Lawyer writes; AI may check, clarify or collect data |
| How AI is used | List the court, the date of entry, and the sum the judgment states. Do not prepare a bankruptcy notice and do not prepare a proof of claim. |
| What the lawyer must review | You decide the enforcement path. No statute creating a bankruptcy notice, or an act of bankruptcy from noncompliance with one, was opened. Do not draft that notice. Section 501 is different. It says a creditor or an indenture trustee may file a proof of claim in a bankruptcy case, and it states no deadline and no form number. A proof of claim is not a notice sent to a debtor to create a default. You prepare a proof only in a case that exists, under rules that were not opened. 12 CFR § 1006.26(b) says a debt collector must not bring or threaten a legal action on a time-barred debt. That prohibition does not apply to a proof of claim. It is not a reason to send a bankruptcy notice. Model Rule 1.4(b) is the explanation you give your client. |

- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- Do not call a demand letter a bankruptcy notice.
- Section 501 does not start a case. No involuntary-petition statute was opened.
