| How AI is used | Restate each condition that appears in the federal release order, in short sentences, and flag any sentence in a draft that the order does not contain. Do not add a condition. |
| What the lawyer must review | In a federal case, § 3142(a) and (c) govern release on personal recognizance, an unsecured bond, or conditions. The judicial officer orders the least restrictive further condition, or combination of conditions, that will reasonably assure appearance and the safety of any other person and the community. Detention under § 3142(e) follows a hearing under subsection (f). Some cases carry a rebuttable presumption. Section 3142(j) provides that the section does not modify the presumption of innocence. Model Rule 1.4(b) requires an explanation sufficient for the client to decide. You check the explanation against the order. A state release is not governed by § 3142. |

## Checking plan

- What the AI does: Restate each condition that appears in the federal release order, in short sentences, and flag any sentence in a draft that the order does not contain. Do not add a condition.
- Basis: Checked against the linked sources on 22 October 2026. Confirm the current instrument before reliance.

## Notes

- Do not add a condition from the statute that the order does not impose.
- State bail uses the state constitution and the state statute.
